Individual and Group Psychotherapy
|
Individual
Many of life's problems and traumas are difficult not just in and of themselves, but because they are isolating, leaving you with the feeling that no one understands or that no one sees your struggles.
As a therapist, I think the relationship comes first. The work we do together requires warmth, comfort, trust and "goodness of fit" between us. I believe the relationship is both the safe and warm point of departure for your exploration and the soft landing place. |
Groups
Process psychotherapy groups offer a safe and supportive means of learning about yourself and how you function in relationships. You can heal with the support of others and develop new skills together. I am currently running an in-person All Gender Process Group Wednesday evenings 6:00 - 7:30pm and I'm starting a Thursday 12:00 - 1:20pm group with a 2025 start date TBD.
I also offer periodic workshops and psychoeducation groups for prospective adoptive parents including a live webinar introduction to the three main types of adoption. |
Specialties
I am experienced with working with many of life's most common problems --- depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, loneliness --- and I do have some particular specialties.
I have significant experience and training in working with adoption and I routinely work with all members of the adoption triad: adoptees, birth/first parents and adoptive parents. I have advanced training in working with trauma and dissociation and I am EMDR trained. |
